but also new to chickens...so far so great!
i have also been contemplating ducks

hmmm, i had almost put that part out of my mind!! when i was a kid my grandmother lived on a lake and there was geese crap EVERYWHERE. maybe i'll keep tilapia in my pond (when i build it!)instead! and maybe i'll stick to other fowl... i am dreaming of peacocks, do you know anyone who keeps them? or maybe a donkey!

Ducks and geese eat lots and poop lots, but housed properly are worth that inconvenience.
