Hello! I have incubating questions (including about an incubator)

I have the same incubator except with fan. Bought used, (years ago)The person used it 1 time had no luck gave it up.
It worked the first 4 to 5 times or so okay not great. Hard to hold temp steady. Brought it out storage last year could not get to hold steady temp.
This year I used a STC 1000 with it. Still fluctuates some but, much better and hatched eggs with it this year'
Have it going now with another batch.
Kinda finicky to set temp with the delay in STC 1000. There are other temp controllers on market.

Cool. I havent had the chance to run mine yet to see how well it works. The original owner had put tape around the edges of the window things, i took it off but I'm thinking that it was there for a reason, maybe to regulate temp?
He obviously used it a lot because the thing was NASTY when I got it

It is very possible to regulate temp. I use 2 towels over mine to help regulate temps. WHen I had mined stored in the grainary the mice did not do it any favors. I had to do some repair.
Also with mine prolly like yours the water channels suck. I use sponges.
The rheostat or control for heat on mine is so touchy very hard to control temp. Yours may be different.

Clean it up, put it someplace steady temp out of drafts give it try see what it does.
