Hello! I will be a mealworm farmer!

Hello! I am new to this group! I plan on farming mealworms for both feed and food in Nebraska. I would love to get input from members as I begin to get started.

For feed and for... um, food? Are we to take it that they will be for people food? I mean, I guess maybe I've heard of folks eating mealworms...

I found a great many mealworms buried in the ground/droppings in our old coop. I was wondering about just such a venture. So, if you're interested in some of ours for genetic diversity, let me know! I found many that were around 2 inches long! Big beautiful mealworms.
Anyway, wish you the very best! I'd be happy to order some! Not sure I'll be including them in my stir fry or anything though.

My understanding is that live mealworms raised in the US are readily available. It is dried mealworms that are imported. Are you planning on offering dried mealworms or just live?
