Yes some of mine had crooked beaks too, breaks your heart how cruel egg farming can be. But now i have hens from a breeder & i have a broody hen than loves hatching chicks all the time, she has 2 cream legbar chicks at the moment & they are so funny & cute. This was my little tittlemouse. She had her beak cut back so far that the top never grew back fully. She was such a little loveeveryone's favorite.

Your so lucky you can have 'roos', i hatched one (light sussex) & had to rehome him, luckily to a local stud farm. Where i live we are not allowed to keep cockerelsAwwwe I love it!! We've got about 25 hens now- all different types! And a few Roos, ducks, turkeys...lol!!
