(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
While not new to chickens in general we are new to silver laced Wyandotte and turkeys. We made it to 7.5 weeks from day old chicks of both. we had chickens at our previous house almost 5 years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
3 chickens and 7 turkeys with 8 turkey eggs in the incubator.
(3) What breeds do you have?
4 white BB turkeys 3 bronze BB turkeys 2 silver Wyandotte 1 golden sex link 8 Narragansett eggs.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The birds, the personality and colours of each. Eating the bugs helps too.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Art, reading, family trips and trying new things.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am disabled and our son is autistic, the hubby works and does a lot around the house and yard. My service dog helps me to assist when I can and munchkin is also doing his part including to help chase down the escapee, I mean cat, when she gets out.
