Hello - I'm back after 6 years :)

As far as I know Jews slaughter animals a certain way and call it "Kosher." Arabs do similar and it's called Hallal. All I know is they all taste better that way.
Certain animals and not all animals.
We(the Jewish people I mean ) at least the one that cares about that, eat only split huves, ruminants mammals and some fowls that have been slaughtered in a very certain and exact way.
Also fish have some rules. We can't eat insects(exepet a very special kind of grasshoppers.....), sea food, ect.
The meat have to be bled out before cooking, the process is called "Hacshsra" הכשרה and we use for that a very corse salt, that is the source of the phrase "kosher salt"
