Hello im bit of a newbie to backyard chickens and have a question

Welcome to BYC. Check her feces - if blood is present, treat the flock for coccidiosis. Good luck with her.
I agree with @sourland, but would treat for coccidiosis no matter what...because it kills so quickly and treatment is safe with CORID. I also agree with @DobieLover and would like to see a picture.

Thank.you every one I rang a local vet who was very helpful they did not think she would have coccidiosis as she disnt seem to have any signs of diahorra and suggested I just watch close and wait to see how she went for the day I took her aside and spent time trying to get her to have some little water she hasn't keen but I think I managed to get a few drops in and massaged her Crop area ...she seemed to perk up a bit after that ans though the day and ate and drank as per normal late afternoon and seemed back to herself by evening went to the hen house happy like the rest of them as sun went down to roost I wonder if she wasn't keen on a slight change of menu ( foods) over the weekend and she may have gotten something stuck anyway I'm hoping she will be fine now and keep another close eye on her tomorrow...thx all happy chicken lovers

:frow hi and welcome from the heart of America! Your kiddos could learn some geography by marking a map of their new BYC friends here. I am in Missouri, also called the Show-Me state. Always happy to have New Zealanders here, most everything I know about your beautiful country I learned from Lord of the Rings movies! :love (I know there are no hobbits, lol)
Thank you lovely welcome ..yes the movie was based only about a hours drive from where we live it sure is a beautiful country we are very lucky..God bless
