Hello! I'm Cherry and I'm from South Africa! We had our first flock of chickens when I was about 10 or eleven, and one of the hens is still part of the flock!
We currently have four chickens and one chick (but I'm hoping to get one or two more in the future
)
We have a Rhode island red, two Sussex hens, an Australian Orpington and a Brahma chick.
I love having backyard chickens because they're such cheerful and amusing birds, and it's nice to say that the eggs in the cake you're baking came from your own hens!
My other hobbies are horse riding, drawing, polymer clay sculpting, photography and playing music instruments.
I'm looking forward to being part of the Backyard Chickens community!
