I'll be getting 25 chicks on April 4th or 5th. I live between Jackson and Battle Creek Michigan. I used to have chickens years and years ago

Welcome. I grew up in Plymouth Michigan and live there until my early 20's. I assume by your BYC name that you love to garden. I do as well. In SC our OK to transfer outside is next Sunday. I have my seedlings all ready to go.

I'm afraid it will be awhile before we can plant this year here. Last night we had a thnderstormThis morning the sun came up and it was 45°, then the temp dropped and it started to rain, then it started to snow!! Now the wind is blowing.

We have high winds here also, but not the temps you are dealing with.
