Good afternoon, well I should say snowy afternoon here in New Hampshire! Our area is expecting 12+ inches of, yup snow!
Our chickens are patiently awaiting spring. I am not so patient... We have a flock of 7, all Historic New England birds, also all now 7 years old! We are going to expand our flock a bit, incubator ready to go. A beautiful new home for all our babies as well, a very very dear friend purchased a real coop for us! From Coops for a Cause! We are blessed to have such a wonderful friend, who is also going to help with the raising of our next brood. I haven't told him yet, but I"m thinking, the youngsters should stay in his living room, until they are ready to be introduced to the old ladies, and Patrick, their father! Patrick will make a great Dad, as he has been a wonderful flock master all these years. So as you cant tell, they are for our enjoyment and the beautiful few eggs a day we receive are a bonus! I was raised on a farm, Grampa always had girls running around, and I remember one nasty rooster!
