Very excited to finally have an account on BYC! It was an invaluable resource after our Pekins, Donald and Daisy, were attacked!

I live in Ky with my fiancé, 2 daughters, December and Lexi (both 11, technically step-sisters) and Logan who just turned 8 today!

We got 3 Pekin and 3 KC from TSC a month or two ago. Matt, my fiancé built is a wonderful duck coup out of materials we already had, and made a pen using pallets. It looks amazing!

Before we had the coup, we kept our ducks in our 2 BR apt (we're currently renovating a 3 BR mobile home at the same location as our coups) we lost one Pekin who was still mostly yellow when he passed. We really miss little Howard, even though he was o ky a part of our lives for a week, he touched us forever!

Since having the coup built, burying Howard, and our ducks suffering through a miraculous opossum attack; we've gotten 3 adult Muscovey and 6 adorable little Pekin Bantams of various color. We aren't sure how old they are, we purchased them at an auction, we also had to do extensive research to find out what breed they are and Pekin may not even be correct.

Our flask is expanding and our next project is our chicken coop!

Sorry to hear about the loss and the attack on your ducks, but glad to hear they are o.k. now. x2 on the Ducks section, we have quite a few duck owners here that will love to chat with you about your flock. Enjoy the site!

Thanks everyone! I've looked in the forums and can't find an answer to my particular issue.

We've raised the 2 Pekin and 3 KCs since they were ducklings, they lived in our apt with us for a couple weeks before being moved to their coop.

A couple of days ago, we got the 3 Muscovey (2 hens, 1 drake)

I wouldn't say we gave them a slow introduction. The Muscovey seem territorial over the coop, like the others might not let them in if they leave it. I caught one of the Muscovy hens pecking at the others, just being hateful. So I put them in the coop and shut the door for a few minutes, then let them back out.

None of our ducks are very friendly, they do t really like us to mess with them, u less we have Meal worms. The Muscovy don't seem to like meal worms, but we don't know anything about where they came from or what their use to.

The five we had first usually hang out in the pool area of the run, and the Muscovy only come around the pool after the others leave.

Is there anything we can do?
