11 acres sure has it's pluses and minuses, such as the poor drainage that we are combating with ditches, a pond, and fill.
Getting the family on board was pretty easy. We all had secret dream birds. Ma's ameraucanas, dad's meat purpose cross plan(between the bpr and buff orphingons I think), brothers guineas, and my dorkings.

Good luck with the ditches, pond, and fill. Sounds like you got some of the dream chickens..love the Ameraucnas! And love the red sex links..over the blacks. The reds seem to be more friendly. They sure can lay!
