Hello I am new and interested in getting chickens and know nothing but a friend of mine has some and she has given me pointers. I appreciate any help you can give me God's blessings to you all.

oh you're in for a real treat. You'll be surprised to find out how much personality they have. Just beware. I started out only wanting a couple for fresh eggs once in a while. I now have close to 40 ish lol
 
:welcome You'll find lots and lots of information here! I'm in the "planning and getting ready" phase to get chickens. I'm hoping to get some in the spring. I learned so much from everyone here already, and it's only been a couple of weeks since I joined. :)

Hello!:welcome Delawares are a great Egg-laying breed, not to mention wonderful and cute personality!! I am waiting for mine to lay!! Can't wait till she starts!!!
