I am so excited to have found this group. I have been a crazy chicken lady for quite a few years now and it's wonderful too see so many like minded people. I currently have 2 EE hens, 1 EE roo (Brewster rooster Cunningham),4 Barred Rocks, 11 beautiful mixed bantams, 6 gunieas,3 Khaki Campbell's, 3 Rouen's , 11 bronze turkey poults,and 6 speckled Sussex poults. Add the 3 pigs, 2 dogs, 2 teenagers and I have a houseful. The turkey poults are actually what led me here. They are tricky buggers aren't they? They are now 5 weeks old and I only lost one so I guess I'm doing ok.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you have put together a really interesting flock! Sorry about the poult you lost, glad everybody else is doing well.
 
Welcome to BYC! You will find lots of useful information on this site. You have an interesting mix of birds in your flock. My granddaughter loves the EEs for their colored eggs. Good luck with your flock.
 
I suppose I like variety! I was very sad when we lost the turkey poult. I've had chickens and gunieas for around 7 years now and I have never lost a chick or keat. I guess no matter what you do it's going to happen at some point. I've lost birds to predators but since we have started raising pigs they don't come around much anymore.
