I adore Silkies so I'm glad I've met someone else with one :)

Ah yes, it's classed as Cuckoo for Silkies I believe. It's still a relatively new colour for them.

It is still being worked on by a few breeders as when this colour is produced, some other features of the Silkie can be lost.

For example, my Cuckoo has a red face, white beak and really light coloured eyes. Although she does still have the black skin, 5 toes and Silkie feathering!

Sadly they aren't a recognised colour yet so she's more of a pet to me than for showing purposes. Still a lovely bird though! :D​
