As far as small order chicks - if you can't find any at the local feed stores/Tractor Supply...

Meyer hatchery sells small orders too - I got an order of 8 girls from them and got very nice and happy healthy chicks.

Keep in mind though you'll pay a lot more in shipping than for the cost of the chicks, more than likely.

If you post over in the buy/sell/trade area of the forum and list your location, someone here may be able to help you out with some chicks or young pullets too.
