Hi!
You can call me Via, I'm a bird enthusiast since age 9 and after purchasing my home in a small town in Iceland, at 21, I'm very excited to start a more sustainable life for my family of resque birds and my sweet boyfriend.

I just recently got some ducks, one of whom is a 2 year old mallard girl who was resqued by my friend (shes much more a pet than the others), the others are domestic ducks raised at a local pond area. Although I already have birds in my home (from wild resques to my handraised finces), this is my first time going into bird keeping for egg and meat production.

I hope I can learn a lot from the more experienced duck and chicken keepers here!
I believe I've done quite a lot of research before I got them, but I know learning never ends.

Same here! We're planning to build a tall fence around our entire property next spring for the ducks, so once our other projects are finished (mainly an aviary for our raven), the chickens will be coming in next
