Well like I said I'm new to this, but anyway I'm getting back into the chicken business, I used to mess with them when I was growing up and rabbits ,starting out with a few half nanny,s a Rhode island red rooster, and hen and something killed the hen,so I just ordered 10 Rhode island whites, seems most around here have never heard of the Rhode island whites any comments?

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. It may be useful to check out the "predators and pests" forum to see if you can find a solution to making your set up as secure as possible. Predators have a habit of returning, once they have had success.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre
https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center, and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/26/where-am-i-where-are-you.

All the best

I have never seen a Rhode Island white but, I have seen them mentioned recently. I am a techno dinosaur and can mainly press enter or send. I use the search box to find anything I want - don't know how to do links either. I've been on for years but, I think younger people pick it up faster. Welcome to BYC.
