Hello I'm New With So Many Questions

These are my two Leghorns. They both squawk. If the one is a roo then he's not aggressive at all. Their is no attacking of me or my children and they handle all the pullets everyday.

So can I be wrong on the breed? It's possible...
I would say that they are both roos... very nice ones! That is hard to find, out of the 4 maturing here right now, the others are still babies, I have 1 meanish one. He is ok with my daughter and I, we do the feeding, but doesn't really care for anyone else. If you can get away with keeping them then do it! Otherwise I am sure there are people looking for friendly roosters! And I agree with production reds...

So my next question is going to be when will I know that they are for sure Roos? I also was not ready for a breeding flock just some eggs and to share the experience with my children. I would feel horrible if they had to go. Once I care about something I really can't let it go. But there's a NO Rooster policy. In the above picture the one on the right the tail feathers appear to be of that of a rooster the left of a hen. Ugh! Internal conflict.

You'll know for sure when they start crowing or mounting your girls, but they both look like roos to me. Also, check out their saddle feathers, the feathers on their backs right before the tail, on a hen they'll be rounded at the tips, on a roo they'll be pointed.

x2. On both of them, those big stout legs, large red comb and wattles, and what appears to be pointed shiny hackle (neck) feathers scream roo.

I rehomed mine as soon as they started to crow, I happened to be awake at 6 am and heard one start practicing, they were gone that morning, I also have a NO Roo law and some of my neighbors are just tolerating the hens egg song so didn't want to push my luck.

I had to give both away. I could not chance having a breeding flock. That's a no..no.. I did find a nice home on a Horse farm 2 counties over. They can make all the noise they want there.
