(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I have never had them before, but I hope to get my first ones in the next month or two.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
None
(3) What breeds do you have?
I am considering Orpingtons, Marans, Plymouth rocks, Easter eggers, and Australorps.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Eggs and having new pets that aren't dogs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, reading, knitting/crocheting, hiking
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a husband, a 2 year old son, and two lab mixes. I'm a software developer.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google initially, but I joined after hearing it discussed on YouTube
