All the breed you have selected would be awesome, I am especially fond of the easter eggers. Make sure you ask these folks about predator proofing your coop, I lost three last night to the next door neighbors stupid dog.

Oh yes, definitely need some tips there. I've ordered a prefab coop and I know they're not predator proof so I'll be adding on that stuff. So far I know to do 2ft of hardware cloth around the perimeter to prevent digging, use carribeaners (sp?) to lock the latches, and this particular coop needs the floor reinforced because it just sits in place and isn't anchored in any way. Not sure what else, I think here we just have racoons and hawks to worry about. Their free roaming place will be under tree cover so that should help with hawks.
