Hiya, and welcome to BYC!

You are one of the few very smart ones to plan ahead! Our first chickens lived in our garage as they were three adult silkies donated. We knew we wanted to raise chickens, but didn't mean to start like that!

Now we have a main coop, a breeding coop, two growout pens, another huge breeding coop being built, and 30+ silkies.

We always talk about how we got into this with our pants down.

Them Learning centre has lots of helpful advice on raising, feeding and housing chickens, as well as on chicken diseases!
