@kaiju-chickens You've got my dream job, rehabilitating Birds of Prey! Something I have wanted to do all my life. I once got to hold a young female Red-tailed Hawk, she was 2 years old in a rehabilitation facility. I wore a glove on my hand/wrist, OMG I fell head over heels with not only the bird but the idea of rehabiliting these majestic birds! What a compassionate profession.

Hello everyone! Call me Kaiju. I'm located somewhere in rural Oklahoma. I've wanted chickens for about 13 years but have never been in a position to get them until this year. I'll be getting them in February or late January

I'm a hobby farmer of sorts, but that's not the big reason I'm getting chickens. I'm getting chickens because I love them a lot! Raising my meat sounds meaningful, and yeah eggs are nice, but I mainly just adore chickens.

I'm a volunteer wildlife rehabilitator who focuses on rodents and birds of prey- not at the same time!- and I'm currently caring for some pigeons (long story). When I was a kid, my parents did rehabbing and falconry, so I pretty much grew up with birds of prey around. Made for the best childhood! On top of this, I'm a search and rescue volunteer, which is one of my biggest passions.

My day job is severe weather meteorology. Lots and lots of work, but it's a lot of fun and I love every second of it. The hours can be long, but I work from home, so it doesn't bother me at all!

As you can probably gather from my profile, I love Godzilla. A lot. I plan on naming my chickens after kaiju! A chicken named Gigan or Rodan. If you know, you know.

I'm very excited to be here! Been lurking on the forums for a long time and finally decided to make an account now that chickens are in progress.
