Hey,
My name is Saerie, I'm new to this website. I have chickens and ducks as pets and for pet therapy that I do at my local nursing home. My family has raised chickens for over 20 years and over those years this website and the people on it have been a lot of help.
So, thanks for letting me join :)

In the warm seasons I bring four or five of my birds to the patio at the nursing home and let them wander around with the residents. The residents can pet them or pick them up or just hold them on their laps for a while. My birds are extremely friendly and well trained, so will cuddle or even fall asleep on someones lap for as long as they want.
And in the winter, I have some of my friends help me carry my birds around the wards to visit.
Also, whenever I get new birds, I bring the little chicks or ducklings in to visit.
