I am very grateful to I found a place with people of like mind. I love my six girls and I've been a backyard chicken lady for 2 years next week. I had chickens when I was growing up but that was a long time ago. I am so excited to have them again they are so much fun.

Like you, we had chickens when I was growing up, but there's been a lot of new thinking about chickens since then (I'm sure my late dad would have wrung the hen's neck before he spent real money at a veterinarian's, and I doubt any of the country vets would have "wasted" time on a chicken anyway).
