Hello! Kids all grew up, so I replaced them with chickens!!

:welcome

Hello, I too would discourage cats from using the coop as a litter box. That has to be unpleasant for you to have to clean, the strong ammonia smell wouldn't be great and your flock could walk through the cat mess and contaminate the eggs they lay. Maybe that's just me...I'm a cat lover but wouldn't want them in my coop.

This sounds naive, but I had not thought about contaminating eggs. :/ Whoever is doing this, its right in front of one of the laying boxes. Ugh!!

As I was cleaning it today, one of the girls was up in the coop was really squawking as if "cant you smell this mess??!" haha Im sure it has to bother them.

We might need to build laying boxes in the inside run area and close the coop during hte day too.

So much easier!! I homeschooled our 4. Great kids, but God created those teen years for a reason :) It makes the separation a wee bit easier haha
I raised 3 boys! And I thought those boys would kill me before they got grown. Lol but I would do it all over again. It’s nice and quiet now but I find myself missing them so much!
