Hello! Kids all grew up, so I replaced them with chickens!!

Welcome to BYC.
If there is an area that your chickens cannot get to, you might try putting a litter box there.
This is exactly what I was just going to suggest... maybe right outside the coop.

Honestly, if you put kitty litter in there Janie, do you think chickens would dig in it, or is that a stupid question lol. My cats go in there too but don't do that, maybe it's the horse pellets....yet people use those for cat litter too.

Sounds like the cat is marking which is a territorial thing rather than just using it as a litter box. There are probably cats in heat around prompting it - even in fixed males sometimes. They sell spray to keep cats from marking- it is mostly essential oils and should be safe for chickens if you have some ventilation in there.there is also Feliway synthetic cat hormone spray, which can help. Use a black light to find it and clean area really well first with natures miracle or similar chicken safe cleanser so multiple cats aren’t remarking the spot. Good luck!

They definitely would dig in it. They also might nibble on it. I'd make sure it was in a location that's off limits to the chickens.
