Hello, let me introduce myself.....

Hello everyone, I joined tonight. My name is Joy I've been a farmer all my life. I currently have 3 dominique hens, 1 aracauna hen, 1 aracauna rooster, 1 New Hampshire Red rooster (he's 5yrs. old),A little spangled game rooster my son brought home, and he has 2 little game hens with him. I also have 13 little chicks that are crosses of aracauna and New Hampshire Red and dominiqueXNew Hampshire Red. My son is looking at showing the games when he gets the stock and the set up he wants. My husband is wanting to get into the Bantams. I just love my chickens as pets and egg layers. I also have 6 dogs all rescues, 13 cats, 2 horses an Appaloosa and a Paso Fino and a white dove that I picked up off the side of the road a few years ago. I hope to make some new friends here and help anyone i can, and make some new chicken connections!

from SE MO. It sounds like you'll be a great fit here. I currently have two half grown chickens. They are completely pets. They have a day tractor but are still in a large dog crate in my room at night. One of them is looking too much like a roo so I'm waiting to build an outdoor coop til I'm certain. I live in town, so if that's the case, he'll have to spend his nights indoors. Also have lots of elderly (mostly) rescued cats and dogs. Have fun!
