We got our first flock of 4 chicks in 2013: Jane, Elizabeth, Mrs. Bennet, and Tijuana

Austrolorps (4), Americana (1, she has the most fabulous hipster sideburns), Silver-laced Wyandotte (1), Rhode Island Red (1), Black Silkie (1), Plymouth Rock (1).

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Quilting, painting, writing, acting, running, reading, DIY EVERYTHING
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a ridiculously happy family of four humans (husband, wife, and two daughters, 11 and 12), one black lab mixed with who-knows-what dog, two insane cats, two betta fish, and nine hens. I'm a professor of art history, my husband is a production coordinator for events in the San Francisco Bay area, and my daughters are brilliant students, athletes, artists, animal lovers, and generally awesome human beings. We all love animals, movies, reading, camping, sleeping, chilling, exploring new stuff, and BURNING MAN! For those of you who don't know Burning Man, it's the most awesome arts festival in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, we go there every year for 10 days and it's amazing! We've kept chickens for about 5 years now and we're always learning, might even be able to share some knowledge at this point!
