I have all females i was told. What kind are they ? I have a picture up. What would you like to share with me about how to care for them ? Please an thanks you for any help you could like to give an share with me. Cowgirl.

Imagine chicks with a mother hen and try to replicate that.
A box isn't good. They need room, a warm spot around 90-100 degrees and plenty of cooler space. They need solid footing so at the very least paper towels, shredded paper or pine shavings. They need chick grower/starter minimum 18% protein. They need clean fresh water. I keep light on them 24/7 for the first week, then 8 hours of darkness.
No crowding, cleanliness, quality fresh food and water, lots of ventilation and healthy chicks will grow up strong.

Please head for the learning center forum and then the section of hatching/baby chicks etc. They need a much bigger brooder - they grow fast and crowded chicks start pecking at each other and sometimes pulling feathers out and worse

! Great to have you here! I am not the person to ask but could they be Cornish X (a meat chicken)? If so, don't expect eggs - but they will grow up and be delicious! As for care, take a look at the Learning Center - lots of great info for the beginning chickener! Good luck to you!
