Hi. The instructions said to make an introductory post. I'm really more of a lurker than a poster, I like to read about different kinds of chickies and everyone's experiences with them.
We currently raise Light Brahma, Breese, Giant Barbezieux, Jersey Giants, O-Shamo, Thai Asil, Ayam Cemani and Easter Eggers. I'm working on breeding my ideal chicken, and preserving/improving the pure breeds we're using. Is been very fun and rewarding so far.
We also keep fainting goats, Sphynx and Turkish Angora cats, ducks, and quail

Welcome!!! Lurking is just fine, but if you have something helpful to share, please do! Chickens are great!!! Everybody on here is sooooo helpful!! I hope you like this place as much as the rest of us!!! By the way, I think Jersey Giants are really neat!!!

I would appreciate your advice on something if you are willing to share it with me ...
I am considering adding Barbezieux to my flock of rare/heritage breeds, but it is very difficult to find much info about them; as someone who has experience of them, would you recommend them? Or are there particular issues/concerns to consider with them? I gather they are very big; is that an issue or are they just a bit bigger than a typical LF roo? Thanks
