Thank you for that advise. I was not aware the the ducklings were so finicky.

This is a list of what I have raised . Wood ducks , Ring teal , Mandarin, regular . American Ruddy , Red heads , Mallards , Be carful with the Red Heads They sometimes squabble with Mallards or other ground nesters, laying eggs in mallard nests in a way becoming parasitic if you get my drift .

I agree with your choice . The natural colors are so nice they are like flying rainbows . In the fall most places that I know of sell the young pairs at a decent price . I wasn't trying to discourage you but the eggs are quite risky for the money . Good luck !
