Opps I forgot to explain who Ralfie is;-) She is my 11 year old Indian Runner hen. She is fawn and white and until we moved here and the neighbors dogs got into the pen and killed her mate Howard and injured her was still laying and hatching eggs for me. She is unusual in the fact she would go broody and hatch ducklings but then DSS (duck social services) would have to step in and raise those babies as Ralfie was, is and forever will be a DINGBAT;-) She is now living in retirement with a BB Red Roo and a White Silkie Hen as companions. My poultry addiction all started with an Easter duck for my daughter so careful when you decide you need that first cute peeper but then I guess if you are on this site you already know that
