(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
The ranch my in-laws have has chickens and geese. Been around them for awhile, and help when needed...never been my thing until two baby goslings got abandoned.
Now the wife and I have two new gosling kids to take care of.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Ranch has about 30 chickens (including the chicks), and 12 Geese
(3) What breeds do you have?
The geese are Domesticated Greylag Goose, and the chickens are several breeds I dont know specifically.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
No idea honestly. My favorite thing is when Crash (my baby gosling) cuddles up in the crook of my neck and sleep. I can hear her making lil' sleeping noises like she is dreaming.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Archery, Fantasy Art, Pathfinder (Dungeons & Dragons), Video Games (less now these days), Martial Arts, Electrical construction work, and learning.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Married, 1 Dog named Guinevere. She is a Siberian Husky, 2 cats Vincent and Tifa.
I'm an Electrician with the IBEW Local 46 in the Seattle Area. its my work but also a passion of mine. Love it a lot.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Found BYC by googling answers to my questions about my goslings, known about it for about a week, and joining because I'm looking for answers about my lil' Crash
