Hi 
My name is Julie and my husband and I live in Tynong North in Victoria. I used to have an account on here but I don't have access to the old email address that it was connected to anymore so I thought I'd just start a new one.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first chicken (Silkie x Polish) in 2011 and this year she just reared her first clutch of babies
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now I have 1 rooster, 4 hens, 4 cockerels, 1 pullet and 2 undecided
(3) What breeds do you have?
Aracauna, Silkie x Polish, GLW, RIR x Australorp, RIR/Australorp x Aracauna, RIR/Australorp x Silkie/Polish.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love knowing how fresh and healthy my eggs are, and that my chooks can help out with our garden by digging in the compost
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I enjoy gardening, music (violin, piano, bass, vocals), art, craft and avoiding the housework
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my husband and our 4 parrots and work as a disability support worker
