Hello All
My name is Kristy and I am from Cambridgeshire in England. I have recently discovered a love for chickens after my boyfriends awful neighbour complained about his and so two of his 4 week old chicks came to live with me!! As far as we know they are Marans one is copper blue the other white, as i am a novice i have no idea as to the sex of them just yet. They have lived in my conservatory indoors now for 2 weeks and have every afternoon (weather permitting) in the garden in a little run. I am amazed at how attached I have become to them as previously i had a big fear of birds but day by day these are winning my heart as they snuggle in to me when i pick them up!!! Who knew keeping chickens would be so much fun. I am going to have a huge part of my garden fenced off for them when they are a little older to give them a good roam and as we speak my other half is building them a beautiful hen house...my only hope now is that they both are not cockerels but if they are will cross that bridge when i get to it as they are not going anywhere now.
Anyway think i have gone on long enough am excited to meet you all and draw on some of your experience.
Many thanks
A very happy Kristy xx
