Hello...new chicken mom here

Hi all,

I am new to chickens and chicks. I currently have 8 bantam hens (bb reds and black and blue Wyandotte) and 2 roosters which I believe are Japanese silver duck wing as well as 4 smaller breed hens that I am learning more about. I know 2 of them are australorpe (sp?). Two days ago my first broody had 13 chicks and I have 2 others sitting now.

I am reading google like crazy to learn all I can as these beauties we were just given to us rather than them going to an animal shelter. I quickly added to the flock as I learned the roosters need plenty of ladies. So much to learn!

I live in beautiful Cali and am a mom to 5 children and Naunee to 4 beautiful grandchildren.

This seems to be a great forum for tons of helpful info.

You can fix it. Just edit the post and delete the extra copies of the picture. Give it a try!
