Hello! I am new to the site and to raising chickens. I decided a few months ago that I wanted to get chickens and so with a combined effort from my husband we built our chicken coop and run. I ordered my chicks from Hoover’s hatchery. I was having a lot of fun looking at all the different breeds.
I endend up ordering 15 since that was there minimum. The breeds that I choose where gold lace Wyandotte, silver lace Wyandotte, blue laced red Wyandotte, Americana, midnight majesty Maran, and Saphire olive Egger.
They are all doing really well and are about 8 weeks old now. They should all be girls, but I swore I heard one trying to crow this morning. XD
I look forward to learning more about chickens from this site.
