Hello new from AK

New registrant to this sight although lurking for last year plus looking at coop/run plans and gaining information on backyard chickens. We just got our first chicks last Friday (one week old today). the push to finish the coop/run just got real!

It's nice to have you here! What breed of chicks do you have?

We have 6 rhode island reds, 5 black australorps (sp), 6 Buff Orpintons (sp), and 3 rhode island whites. That is the total we received, but we are splitting the order with friends so we will end up with one rhode island white (one daughter wanted a chicken all her own that didn't look like any of the other chickens) and a mix of the others so total of 6-8.
