Aloha everyone,

Back in November 2020, our cat Muffin comes yowling through the yard at night --> knowing the sound VERY well, I rush outside to swat the cat and try to rescue whatever tiny animal he has brought home to eat... and this time it was not a pigeon. Couldn't believe it was a tiny chick, which survived the night, and the next day and anyway - here we are 9 months later with a dwarf laying hen.

Our girl is super tiny, yet seems like she won't get any bigger. Finally is in broody phase. Going to be posting a question about her possibly having vitiligo (started turning white in a few places over the last month) - and looking around for advice on adopting a new hen, checking out her health first though.

Anyway, thanks to all you lovely people supporting each other :)

Take care,
Lisa

So, Muffin thought you needed another pet? Or, he thought he needed a midnight snack and you ruined his quick bite. Does he bring you a lot of pigeons?

In any case, she's a lovely little hen, and I wish you good luck with her health, her broodiness and finding her a companion.

Welcome to BYC, Lisa; it's good to meet you!
