Hi. c: I'm very excited to be finally joining this site. I've come across it so many times and learned a lot and so I decided to finally join the forums. I'm from Ontario, Canada and my family has 5 backyard chickens. I myself have 4 cockatiels (2 which are disabled) and one button quail with a very interesting origin story haha. I love birds of all kinds and can talk for hours about them. I also help out at a wildlife rehabilitation center and hangout with lots of wild birds there!

Welcome to BYC! I lived in Ingersoll Ontario for 1 year ( to attend a Bible training center) it was a great year I loved it there. Definitely a good place to raise chickens!!

There are a lot of resources here, and lots of folks who are as crazy about birds as you are.

To look for articles on BYC :

A. Use the SEARCH button, but use the Advanced Search choice, and select ARTICLES at the top of the box. Just enter your keyword(s) and scroll through your results!

B. I find it helpful to notice the rating and reviews. All articles are by BYC members, and all the reviews/ratings are as well. The ratings help a newbie like me sort the most useful and reliable articles.

C. You can bookmark the articles or posts you think you want to refer to again using that bookmark icon at the top of articles or posts. You can find them again by clicking on your own avatar and looking at the list of bookmarks you have built up!
