Hello, I am new here on Backyard chickens. I have had/raised chickens for over 5 years now, along with ducks, turkey, and Guinea hen. I live on 3 acre property, and have a 12x24 shed as a coop. I have had all kinds of chickens, but my favorites are Brahma, Buff Orpington, and Americana. Right now I have 15 chickens.......2 Rhode Island reds, 1 Buff Orpington, 3 Red Comet, 2 Plymouth Rock, 2 Americana, and the others I forgot the breed. My rooster is Americana, sweet as can be. I want to get 20 hens (10 Brahma and 10 Orpington) and get 6 Heritage Bronze Breasted Turkey in the spring. I have found if raised all together they get along very well. I would have ducks, but they are so messy and i need to get a small pond dug for them.
