    Hello everyone,
We are new to the chicken world. We had 3 chickens that were eaten by raccoons (sussex, wyandotte, and americauna) . We now have 8 chicks and a coop that will be coming from farmnyard this week. We have all hens....
buff orpington-Sunny, blue andaulasian - Wilbur, barred rock - Blackie, white rock - Dori, new hampshire red - Ruby, black australorp - Callie, light brahma - Penny, americauna - CB (stands for coon bait, my husbands humor).
Chickens are the best pets I've ever had!

Mom to 3 boys and 1 daughter, a blue heeler, and wife to an amazing hubby:)

    Welcome Smalltownchicks,

sorry to hear that you lost 3 chickens.

Hopefully your new coop will be safe from raccoons.

We have two blue heelers. Love, love, love those dogs.

    Nice chicken names too.

good luck with your new flock!

[IMG] We named all 11 of ours too! My husband named one of ours Fryer Tuck. He also named Thor, Optimus Prime, and Try-N-Fly. I named Jasper, Esme, Pokeyhontas, Beakman, Little Ann, Pepper and Checkers. So far their names fit them well!
