I'm new to this whole thing. I've got 5 chicks. I got two at Murdochs. And 4 from a feed shop. 1 died. That Sucked. Barred rock, silver haired sumthin , americaunas and a buff Orpington. Names could be mis spelled or pronounced. I'm building a coop now. I'm about 70% done. I'll post pics when it's finished. 6x4x4 hight slopes to 5' . Probably add 2 egg laying boxes. Seems there's a whole lotta info here. Thanks. db

Best to allow 4 square feet of coop space per bird, so your coop should be able to house 6 birds comfortably.

Well here is my chikin racing coop! Im hoping the checkerboard floor will make em' wanna lay eggs faster. ha! Its all covered in shavings now........and sh. Poop. I have the nesting box framed up and will probably attach it today. Its beautiful here in CO!

I forgot to add it will be fully painted soon. Were gonna test the colors on the coop and then paint over the ugly barnyard look on our house. Ha!
