Hello just started the chicken game. Have 8 chicks 6, 5 days old and 2 are 1.5 weeks old. Also have 4 10 wk old hens! Who long til I get me some eggs?!?!

! Great to have you here! Laying dates differ by breed - I have heard of birds 18 weeks starting to lay and as late as 26 weeks. I'd shoot for the middle 22-23 weeks to be safe. Going into warmer rather than colder weather will allow them to lay sooner rather than later as well. Good luck to you and have fun!
