Hello Everybody! I'm Crystal from southern Indiana, and I'm so happy to have come across this wonderful site. For several years I've dreamed of having chickens, but my job simply didn't allow me the time/energy to invest. Thankfully I'm now able to do so. My plan is for my chicken coop to be my husband's winter project (he's itching to get at it already, so it may be his fall project instead), and then we'll "adopt" just a few female chicks in the spring. I will be looking for pets/layers. Meanwhile, I'm trying to learn all I can about chickens and their care, and which breeds of chickens will be best for my family. I look forward to learning and sharing much right here!
