Hi Everyone! My name is Alexis and I am new to raising chickens! I have been studying about these babies and dreaming of having my own flock for years, I have finally brought home my first girls on Friday. Yayyy!
I have six chicks: 2 black stars (sex links), 2 sapphire gems, 1 Easter egger (said ameraucana but I know this breed can be rare) and one I was told was black star but I'm thinking not; I'll ask that question with pictures after this.
My favorite aspect thus far is definitely watching the chicks in their brooder. So entertaining!
My other hobbies include making soaps, candles, gardening, and programming mods for video games. I am a mother of one human, 3 cats, 1 dog, and now 6 chicks!
I am on the track for homesteading and being as self-sufficient as I can!
I found BYC while searching Google and love it! It has been very helpful and everyone here seems so kind. How could I not join!
