Hello everyone! My name is Jessica! I have 4 production red hens. This is the first time I have ever had chickens in my life. My husband raised them when he was a little boy, but this is a first for me. But I'm excited about this adventure and can't wait to get more! They are definitely fun! I'm excited that I found this forum! It has already been extremely helpful during this week of craziness with them! I've already gotten a couple of eggs from them and it's so rewarding! I can't wait to see what the future holds for me and my chickens!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes! It's been a pretty productive week/weekend. Got a few eggs and that feeling hasn't worn off yet! They all seem to be adjusting and loving their coop and run. They all seem really sweet too! I love going out in the morning to feed them, just like my actual children, they come running when breakfast is served! So cute! I'm glad I decided to dive into this adventure.
 
Forgot to add we actually picked up 5 more chickens. They are about 4 months old and one of them is a rooster. So this should be interesting. He seems like he is sweet, but of course I have been reading up on behaviors and have seen some horror stories about aggressive roosters. So wish me luck! Hopefully he stays as sweet as he is now. But we will see.
