Hello, chickens are new to me since summer. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if these look like hens or roos and if they are indeed what I was told 😬 I was told the first and 2nd are sapphire gems and the third a splash. The first two are 3.5 weeks old and the last 2.5. Thank you

Ooh I just realized that you said that they Sapphire Gems. I love my Sapph!! She is a total sweetheart.
I heard the breed was supposed to be nice. Hopefully they are girls or they can't stay. I was told Sapphires are able to be sexed from birth with having a dot on the head? None of my girls had that but the one is so large because of others so I'm suspicious it could be a roo.

They are certainly a nice breed! I'm not sure if this is true, because my laying SG doesn't have a spot and never had one. I don't know though! Make sure to have fun with the little chicks while it lasts teehee!

We definitely are having fun with them. The roos are the ones that have the white spots on the head. The hens are supposed to be solid.
