I've decided to get some chickens this year. I live in southern california and have two little kids (2 and 3 yrs old). We would like chickens mainly for egg production, but we also love animals, so having live ones are an added bonus. We have a friendly dog, a not so friendly tortoise, and two parrots. Our coop is 3' x 3' and the attached run is 9' x 14'. I'm hoping that will be enough room to fit two chickens comfortably. When I'm outside, I might also let them run around the yard too. The tortoise would go after them, but I'm pretty sure they'd be able to outrun the tortoise. He'd get used to them after a couple weeks anyway.

Please tell me you have an Instagram I can follow! You might enjoy @cummingsrescuezoo and @francois_babies
